Private Course

This is a private turn-key course listing for a particular company. It is unlikely you have made it to this page without someone having sent you this hidden link.

To enter the sign-up page, you will need to know the secret password. This was most likely included in the internal messaging you received regarding the course.

The event venue will not be formally contracted until the minimum participant threshold has been reached, at which point all pre-registered credit cards on file will be processed. Agile Carpentry will formally bind the event venue contract at the same time. Anyone who has pre-registered will see an automated email from TicketSpice with their final receipt when the credit cards are processed.

The TicketSpice-based registration makes it possible for multiple small groups of people from different departments to easily sign up, without having to coordinate a single participant block. The logistics are nearly identical to that of a public course. As such, the ticket price carries the full weight of my travel costs, event hosting, printed training materials, royalties, and other details.

As long as everyone acts quickly, it should be possible to achieve the target course dates of April 23 to April 25 while the hotel still has the event space on a courtesy hold. Otherwise, a coordinated effort will be made to reschedule.

Course Agenda

The morning of the first of three days will be used to establish the overall context of the system modeling activities which follow. This will be done through a small amount of lecture, combined with both small and large group discussions.

Once the stage is set, we will transition to thoughtful analysis of the impact of different organizational design decisions on adaptability and value delivery using system modeling. Following each incremental framework-agnostic advance in our understanding, we will map concrete aspects of LeSS into our increasingly enlightened understanding of organizational system dynamics. The system modeling brings deeper insight, while mapping this insight into LeSS facilitates better retention along with an understanding of how to act on what is being learned.

We will continue to incrementally advance our depth of understanding using system modeling for the majority of the three days. Towards the end of the third day time will be spent: coalescing the whole of our enhanced understanding; providing guidance on how to move forward; and orienting participants on how to navigate a wealth of additional information.
